Gainesville FL Nixes — Jay Nix continues to be extremely busy at
Bellsouth Business Systems and was promoted in June to Large Business Account
Manager. He does find time to play racquetball twice a week. He and son Logan
have become civil war buffs and attended a battle reenactment at Olustee FL.
Amy Nix, along with being homeroom mom, teaching toddlers in Sunday
School, and running the Nix household, has been actively pursuing her hobby of
decorative painting of furniture, lamps, etc. She had a booth at a craft sale in
Tallahassee and it was well received. Logan Nix celebrated his sixth birthday in
September with a party at the Santa Fe Community College Zoo. His “Mimi”
Karol Miller and Granddaddy and “Me-Maw” Slone were all there as well. Logan
enjoys Legos, drawing, karate (he’s a yellow belt, going for an orange belt) and
kindergarten. He attends Lawton Chiles Elementary, which is rated the highest in
Gainesville.
Lindsey Nix celebrated her 3rd birthday in March with a party at a gymnastic club. Mimi, Me-Maw, and Granddaddy Slone, as well as great-Papa and Nana Bunce from Ocala were all there. Lindsey is still the same petite prissy little girl who loves being a girl, dressing up, and showing off. Her hair has to be just right before she leaves for Pre-K at their church school three mornings a week. The biggest change for Jay and Amy this year was that Amy’s mom Karol Miller moved from Panama City to Thomasville GA. She is a radiologist at the hospital. Amy’s only sibling, sister Stephanie and her family also live in Thomasville.
